First Post in the Year 2012

Well, I made that white crochet border, and yet i am not fully happy with it...

So, I might use some ribbons ...

I love this border... finally...

Sometimes I really wonder, am I the only one who can't decide on what embellishments to use, and where to put it on the garment or a bag?  For me it all started good, the project is clear in my head, and I can't wait to cut the fabric and stitch.  I am all good and in the zone but when it comes to embellishments I just hit a wall.  I can't for the life of me decide on what goes where.  But when i see something already embellished, i know exactly what I like, and if the work is good or not.

Look at these two projects i listed above, two aprons and not enough fabric, so I decided to crochet a border. The thing is, I really sat and thought about it and I decided that pink would look absolutely lovely.  I sat yesterday and i finished it, but alas another idea came why don't I use some green, so like a trooper I opened all my crochet work and I started all over again, and I am very happy with the result.

I need to rework the white border. I am not completely happy with it, so I am just going to open it up again and add some red.  It will look better because, I am making the apron out of a summer fabric.  I wish I could just sit and whip up an idea in one single go instead of having them trickling down one idea at a time.

Well, I hope I am not the only one who faces with such challanges, because if I am, I just have to learn to live with it!

Lots of love,

Samya :)

  1. Dear Samy,
You are not the only one who rejects a project, often the original plan. That is the curse of creativity that you always have new ideas. It is also very exciting to see how things develop and your work is very nice.
    Kind greetings

  6. Olá Summy,
gostei de todos os acabamentos. Mas, como gosto muito de misturar materiais, acho que o tecido com o croche é o meu preferido também.
